Week 2 Power Rankings - Holy FAAB Batman

A total of $185 FAAB or 18.5% of the league's total was spent on the wire this week. People were desperate for positions, and went out to get them. Raj unsurprisingly went big on Mike Davis, but I don't think anyone expected him to go all in. Next biggest acquisition was Darrel Henderson Jr for $33 by Scott. These 2 acquisitions alone account for 12.6% of the total FAAB budget for the league. Whew. Anyway, here's the rankings.

Stat of the week: 35% of teams that start 0-2 have made the playoffs in our league, with 1 winning the championship.

Matchup of the week: Mahome Improvement (1-1) vs Bills Mafia (0-2)

Boyer looks to secure his first win of the season. CEH has a tough matchup against Boyer's own defense. The Ravens held Chubb to 66 yards, and David Johnson to 50, which will mean the game will be put on Mahomes shoulders, which helps Brett. Allen/Diggs facing the Rams which will be a good game, but I'm assuming fairly defensive.

Brett has a few smash matchups this week. Mahomes should have to throw a lot, and probably to Kelce. Taylor and the Colts are going to run the clock on the Jets feeding him a lot. Across the board I'd say the WR matchup is similar between Brett and Boyer.

Maybe not a barn burner matchup, but it's going to be a close one. Good luck boys.

Individual Notes

Mike: What's not to like? Top tier RBs. Top tier WRs. Perhaps the only downside is the matchup based QBs, but one of them is going to hit on a weekly basis. Better hope you stay healthy though, depth is rough.
Scott: Russell Wilson may be the best quarterback in the NFL right now. Henry and Hunt seem to be hit or miss. Waller is hot fire. Bench is deep. I'm honestly scared.
Will: Lucked into RB1. Solid floor/reasonably high ceiling WRs. Made moves to improve depth. Underrated DST with great matchups in the near future. I'm guessing a 9-4 finish.
Raj: RIP your FAAB. Hope you don't need to pick up anyone else for the entire rest of the year. God forbid David Johnson gets injured cause your RB depth is non-existent. Kyler, Julio and perhaps Higbee are gonna have to carry you.
Brett: Mahomes/Kelce and Taylor/Connor need to carry you. Luckily I think they will. QB2 spot is a question mark. Guys are a little banged up, but who isn't in the NFL. Mahomes in a smash spot this week. Matchup of the week for sure.
Jordan: I wouldn't be surprised if Koo ends up better than your RB3. Dak and Minshew is sexy af. Ridley is destroying. Perhaps trade for a RB1? Just don't get sacko again.
Josh: True boom or bust with low floor. No Vikings in the lineup this week. Is being a Bears homer hurting you? Robinson might be looking for a trade off your team as well ;).
Boyer: I almost never like your team on paper, but it never seems to matter. Allen/Diggs is fuckin' real. CEH showed his floor last week. Herb to be a savior?
Chu: "Ouch." - That's what all your players said last week. Matt Ryan throws like 70 attempts a game, so he'll be your rock. RBs are solid as well. I hate Baker and Jones, but one will be serviceable on a week to week basis.
Joe: Average Joe(s) living up to their name. Hope Kittle stays healthy, and Gibson matches your prop bet with Mike. Lamar is going to be a monster this week. Too bad you have to face Scott. Maybe win #1 comes next week.

Jesus fucking christ I'm so happy football is back. Good luck my dudes.
