Power Rankings Thru Week 3

the charger here, back with your week 3 power rankings, which is to say the part of the newsletter where math tells you who's been fooling themselves.

joe climbs three spots to #1 on the strength of an actual 3-0 record and 17 all-play wins, proving that winning your games is still, weirdly, a viable strategy. jordan slides into #2 without doing much of anything differently, up one, still sitting on $97 of unspent faab like he's saving it for a rainy day that keeps not arriving. meanwhile chu and david both fall two spots despite gaudy point totals — chu's put up 456.88 and david leads the entire league with 472.44 for and 20 all-play wins, but david's also left 22.59 points on his bench every week, which is not a badge of honor, that's just paying for players you didn't use.

boyer drops to #6 while quietly posting the single worst bench-points figure in the league at 26.75 — a stat that suggests his actual starting lineup is more of a suggestion than a decision. josh and scott both tick up a spot on modest, unglamorous efficiency, nothing flashy, just fewer things left in the tank on sunday. will falls two spots to #8 despite an 0-3 record that, mathematically, shouldn't have had much further to fall — turns out there's always further to fall.

mike remains rooted at #10, having burned through $28 of faab and posted the league's worst average starter rank at 91.3, which either means he's playing for next year already or he's just not looking at his lineup. brett sits at #9, also 0-3, also down to $66 in the bank, presumably still waiting for the version of his team that shows up on paper.
