Pretty straightforward rankings this week. As wins start to increase in disparity we'll see the rankings start to shake out. Notable performances last week were Mike and Raj. They may be the teams to beat going forward.
Both Mike and Josh over-performed compared to their projections around +25 points. We'll see if Mike can sustain this amount of production, although he's got some good matchups this week. Josh may be putting together a competent season, but there's still plenty of time to fuck it up.
Jordan's team must have eaten some bat soup and was the most underperforming team compared to his projected total (-14.91). Even though Calvin Ridley went off with 30.4 points, AJ Brown, Keenan Allen, and first round pick Saquon Barkley missed their projections by ~22 points total.
It's interesting to note this week that all winning teams scored over 150, and all losing teams scored 140 and under. Although the high score of this week (Mike: 173.28) was 20 points off last year's Week 1 high score (Brett: 197.32), the average compared to last year was basically the same. (2020: 147.3, 2019: 145.09).
Matchup of the week: Jordan (0-1) v Mike (1-0)
This should be a great matchup with the highest projected total of the week. Jordan's got a handcuff on Mike's production with Dak Prescott to Mike's Amari Cooper. But, Mike's got a high chance for a blowup flex again from Raheem Mostert going up against the single-ply toilet paper Jets defense.
Good luck to all.
